About Us

Transition Towns is about using our collective talents and unique local knowledge to make our community more resilient to the growing social pressures of Peak Oil and Climate Change. Many towns around the country are now well on their way to putting into practice a local energy descent plan and they look like they're having a pretty good time as well.

More details can be found in our leaflet "Transition Ipswich - Finding local solutions to climate change and peak oil" (PDF, 450KB).

We also have a discussion group called "TIzone" for those would like to discuss the organisation of Transition Ipswich events or topics relating to Peak Oil and Climate Change (click here to join).
